ABOUT ME:
Born in Germany, I started riding at the age of 13, first on my Welsh- Arabian Pony, and talented School horses- learning the basics of Dressage and building a solid foundation.
Throughout my 30 years of riding, I have had the great fortune to work with some very respected trainers and talented horses, including my own two Hannoverian mares.
I've trained young horses for the Hanoverian Auction in Verden/ Germany, have shown 3 and 4-year old horses in "Material" classes, incorporated some show- jumping into my riding career, received the German Bronze Rider Award* in 1988 and competed successfully in Dressage, before I moved to the US.
People that influenced my riding in Germany :
-Ingelin Pietsch, former 3-day Eventer(CIC) and my great horse sponsor!
-Dr. Ulf Moeller, former Auction rider and now a well-known specialist in the training of the young horse, who has two World titles to his credit.
-Hans- Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen, manager of the riding school of Lower Saxony in Hoya, and an excellent clinician.
-Erika Falk, who was a longtime student of the late Willi Schultheiss, and trained such great horses as Cindy Ishoy’s "Dynasty".
Since my move, I've had the opportunity to train a variety of breeds and attended Clinics with Mj. Jeremy Beal, Robert Mayer, Kay Meredith, Dagmar Zimmermann and Kate Poulin.
I am working on a regular basis with
